There is understandable curiosity surrounding our (mostly) silent partner Gibbon. He doesn't show up on the interweb much due to his natural laid backedness concerning all things Blue House, but is an integral part of the machine, and without whose bass the songs would sound a whole lot poorer, even considering whether they'd have been recorded at all. That lovely string arrangement on "Don't Ever Let It Go"? - that's all his; similarly the very moving backing to "Follow Me". On the forthcoming 'Too' the four part horn arrangement on "Waste of Angels" is all him, as well as a goodly number of the bv's. Always ready with a definitive decision on whether all the notes we're playing hang together properly and willing to drop in a passing note at the drop of a capo, Gibbon is the dovetail joint that holds together the very framework of the Blue House. Gibbon, we salute you. Thanks Mate. Shane

Gib has entered into the songstrelliar fray with a lovely new song, bespokely co-written with sometime Helen deputee Moj, which betrays some of his influences, and a good deal of his talent. We'll see if we can nick it for future use.... Sk

Sad news today as Gibbon has, tragically, had a haircut. Our thoughts are with his hairdresser.

And in a remarkable reversal of normal service, news reaches us that (and this is absolutely true) a hairdresser of our acquaintance recently mistook television's Jonathan Creek - Alan Davies - for Gibbon in a queue. ;D

...a hairdresser of our acquaintance recently mistook television's Jonathan Creek - Alan Davies - for Gibbon in a queue. ;D Has anyone actually seen Alan Davies and Gibbon in the same room together? No? I think we might be on to something here! Next time I do the lights for you I'll set up some kind of mysterious disappearance of a band member via a cunning hidden trap-door in the stage during an 'accidental' blackout. If Gibbon solves it, mystery over! Harry.

But have you considered that it might be a bit 'Samsonesque', without the hair would Jonathon Creek still be able to function Mix - believes in the power of the hair

It would have to be saved for the very last song of the set, as all know Delilah is the greatest pub-chucking-out song of all time ;D ;D ;D All together now...I saw the light on the night that I passed by her window ;D ;D ;D (see I could remember words way back then) Mix - followed by a quick rendition of Nelly Dean of course
