I can't thank enough (is that correct grammar?) Hughes, Val, Simon, the Blue House (umm) posse, and our imaginary interweb friends for taking time out to tick a few more of my boxes. I thought we flew. I believed we could flew. Cheers Shane

Indeed you did flew ;D Thank you SftBH for putting on an amazing evening (remember how Cropredy started, this could be you!!!) I loved the venue (chicken curry to die for ), the Landlady was lovely, warm and welcoming (and keeps a scalpel handy, what more could you want ;D) The natives were friendly.....there was none of that 'who the hell are you lot invading local space' malarky The music........SftBH were on top form; a lively set, all were in fine voice, but I feel that Helen deserves a special mention, because she was, quite simply, stunning!!!! Her voice has a quality that it is hard to put your finger on; in one phrase innocence shines through, in the next, earthiness adds a zing to the words, in yet another phrase she could 'blues it' to beat the best. Stunning!!!! James and Shane were as fantastic as they could be. The humour between songs, was real and added a lot to the warmth of the band. The tributes paid to our friend Ces, were appropriate and heartfelt, and we all raised a glass to our absent friend (wouldn't want to bet that he wasn't there listening though) it may be that it was him who really won the Tshirt. David Hughes.......awesome, in the truest sense of the word. Thursday was the first time I'd ever heard a note sung by him, and I'm hooked; I'm addicted; is he available on prescription? well he should be. His songs, both serious and humerous, all had a reality that touched a chord within, sometimes they hit a scar with a hammer.....but in a good kind of 'ahh yes, I know what you mean' way. The Talkawhilers were in good form too, Bill and Anji are the lovliest of folk. Hannah, is just the sweetest bundle of fun I've ever met. I had the most brilliant time, loved every second, and really didn't want it to come to an end.....but, as all good things must, the evening drew to a close; leaving me full of warmth and laughter, and bursting with good music ;D Thanks again to all those who made it possible, more strength to your playing arms folks!!!! Mic
