As I write, Helen is tied in first place waiting for a referee's decision in the "Best Original Song" category in the 'Talkawhile Awards'. For those not in the know (there's a link from the main site) Talkawhile is the self-styled 'largest online folk community in the country', and the nominations in these awards are basically the same as for the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, but with an extra contestant nominated by the Talkawhile members. The Fragrant and Charming La Mulley is currently horns-locked and battling it out with folk legend John Tams, previously of The Home Service, among other great bands. Frankly, I think the guitarist and producer deserve all the credit, to say nothing of the horn section.... ;D

A big woo to...oh sod it, deserves more, a woo-yay to Helen. Tis a wunnerful song and is much deserving. Always knew the power (creative genius) lay behind the throne(s).
