Turned into a bit of an impromptu SftBH-fest as it happened, due to a late withdrawal necessitating a swiftly-arranged fill-in spot from Me, James, Kilbey and H (no marks to the philistine who remarked on Ringo's seminal Don't Pass Me By that it sounded like "some country and western" ) following a brief but storming set from AloneMe, featuring our occasional own, dear, That-Nice-David-Booth and the gorgeous Sarah Springett, whose breathy delivery of the line "Come together, over me" drew palpable intakes of breath from at least two seasoned SftBh-ers. Steve C and Kilbey delivered a stunning Two Of Us, H made her Blue House debut beautifully, Gibbon played the grand piano like a man born to it, and Helen's vacuum cleaner solo was a thing of wonder to behold. ;D And James finally got to sing Across The Universe. Oh, and we got tentatively offered another (support) gig and advance warning of the next idea for a theme night, which we're very excited about
